Early in my adult life I worked as an apprentice under a master carpenter where I learned how to make doors and windows. The combination of stained glass and finish carpentry skills allows me to offer you a “one stop shop” for making high quality stained glass art and installing it.
Where do the finish carpentry skills come in?
- Replacing worn out window panes with attractive show pieces – we can replace old glass with new art or mount new art over most existing window openings. While we’re at it, we can rejuvenate that old wooden window frame.
- Fabricating a custom frame – frames complement and accentuate the artwork while giving it additional strength and beauty. Sometimes a thin wrought iron frame does the magic.
- Modifying cabinet doors in your kitchen – inserting glass panels can update part of the room without the expense of complete replacement. Give your kitchen that classy period look or cheer it up with glass.
- Ditto for doors!
- Modernize the transom – or make one.
- Fabricate a new window – sometimes customers want artwork mounted in or on top of an existing window pane but the window, itself, is beyond restoration and needs replacing. We can build or coordinate a new window as part of your commission.
